Nuclear imaging tests are used to determine areas of the heart that have a decreased blood supply. Tests use a very small amount of a radioactive substance and a special camera. This test may include light exercise.

Prior to the test, you undergo a thorough evaluation to determine if the exercise or pharmacological test is the safest and most appropriate for you. You will receive individualized preparation instructions.

After the test, you will be scheduled for a follow up office visit with Dr. Caldwell to discuss your test results, your progress, ensure that all of your questions are answered, and together develop a plan for your long term continued care.
