Implantable Rhythm Monitor Insertion

An implantable cardiac monitor is a small device that continuously monitors heart rhythms and records them automatically for up to 3 years The device is inserted just beneath the skin over the left chest during a simple procedure in the hospital.
If a heart-rhythm-related cause of the patient’s symptoms is found, Dr. Caldwell will recommend treatment based on the diagnosis.
After the test, you will be scheduled for a follow up office visit with Dr. Caldwell to discuss your test results, your progress, ensure that all of your questions are answered, and together develop a plan for your long term continued care.
