Nuclear Pharmacological
Stress Testing

Nuclear imaging tests are used to determine areas of the heart that have a decreased blood supply, using a very small amount of a radioactive substance and a special camera. Medication is used to chemically induce an exercise response from your heart.
Prior to the test, you will undergo a thorough evaluation to determine if the exercise or pharmacological test is safest and most appropriate for you. You will receive individualized preparation instructions.
After the test, you will meet with Dr. Caldwell to review the results.
A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations and rescheduled appointments for chemical stress testing. A $98 charge will be applied for each no show without appropriate notification as the office must order the medication prior to the date of service.
